Omar Please Bring Manny Ramirez to New York

I know there are a lot of people who do not like Manny Ramirez but you cannot deny that he is a superstar player. He won 2 World Series with The Boston Red Sox, in the 2004 World Series he was named Series MVP, appeared in 2 World Series with the Cleveland Indians. Manny is a 12 time All-Star, he has won the Silver Slugger award 9 times.

He has a bad reputation but wherever he goes that team's lineup improves greatly. The Dodgers would not have made the playoffs without aquiring Manny last season in July. His career numbers are:

.314 Lifetime Batting Average
527 Home Runs
1,725 RBI's

Manny would also take a lot of the pressure of our hitters, especially David Wright. Towards the end of last season Wright was not very clutch, at every at-bat you could see he was pressing. There were reports that he was not sleeping at night worrying about the team. With Manny batting behind Wright in the number 4 spot pitchers are not going to be able to pitch around David, he is going to get good pitches to hit, he will get on base, drive in base-runners which is something he could not do late last season.

Manny also brings excitement to the ballpark. He will be chasing 600 Home Runs as well as 2,000 RBI's if he signs a 3 year deal with an option for 4 years. The fans will come out to see him play and to see him chase history. Fred, Jeff and Omar get on the phone, contact his agent and sign Manny to play Left Field in CitiField.
